The Port Warwick Art and Sculpture Festival will celebrate its sixth year this fall, Saturday October 9 and Sunday October 10 and continue its goal to present world-class art created by artists and sculptors that demonstrate innovation and originality. It is the only show in Virginia to feature sculpture. Each year over 100 nationally recognized artists exhibit their works at this regionally recognized and respected two day art festival. Coming from around the United States, artists exhibit in twelve different media categories.
The Art and Sculpture is presented by the Port Warwick Foundation, a public non-profit organization established to bring unique arts, music and cultural events to the Port Warwick community and the extended Hampton Roads area. Located on Styron Square within Port Warwick, attendees of the Festival can enjoy gourmet food, music and entertainment throughout the weekend in an arts-friendly community that is a well-known showplace for specially commissioned public sculptures created by world renowned sculptors. Additionally, families can introduce art to their children with hands-on learning and artist interaction in the Peninsula Fine Art Center’s always popular Young Collectors Tent.
Peninsula Fine Arts Center (Pfac) will again co-produce the event, continuing to bring years of art experience and expertise especially in the area of art education. Pfac will provide many hands-on art activities to be enjoyed by all ages, plus a student and adult art exhibit. They will also coordinate artist demonstrations in the areas of glass, ceramics, sculpture and more. Members of the Peninsula Fine Arts Center will be involved in the planning and implementation of the 2010 Art and Sculpture Festival.
The Port Warwick Art and Sculpture Festival, as the premiere outdoor art festival in the area provides an outstanding venue to showcase your company’s brand in addition to its products and services.
